Matthew 1:21, JESUS: he shall save His people from their sins, and who are His people?

[The first group: Israel]
Exodus 3:7, Exodus 5:1, God's original chosen people was the nation of Israel
. God's (the father) wife was Israel

[The second group: Gentiles]
Acts 15:17, the rest also then became His people (the residue)
. the Church was Christ's (the son) bride

[The third group: Church]
2 Chronicles 7:14, although the literal context was directed at Israel, it says 'people, which are called by my name', and the Church is the reason for God's blessings if the Church is obedient to Him (and the nations where the churches reside may experience the effects of those blessings)

[God's plan from the foundation of the world.]
2 Timothy 1:9-10, Jesus the son was already established in eternity past, for He knew Adam and Eve would sin

Philippians 2:5-8, humbled into the fashion of a bondservant
Hebrews 4:15, living as a human, He was able to sympathize with mortals, and He was prepared to be sacrificed. Although He could not sin, He was not exempt from pain (the hanging and nails on the cross).

[The sacrificial lamb.]
John 1:29, 1:36, the Lamb of God, who came to be the sacrificial lamb for the sins of His people
. all the sacrificial components in the Mosaic and Levitical law were images of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ; the day when the Messiah would come and shed His blood on the cross
Hebrews 9:22, according to the law, bloodshed was always required for the remission of sins
Genesis 22:7-8, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering

[Reversing the curse.]
Galatians 3:13, the curse of death was transferred to Jesus Christ- all of man's sins were imputed onto Christ, for the wages of sin were death. Then afterwards, on the condition that men accepted His sacrifice, His righteousness was then imputed onto them.
1 Cor 15:22, efficacious concept: even so in Christ shall all be made alive, IF they receive His saving grace

[His longsuffering.]
Hebrews 12:2-3, suffered by sinners, for sinners, enduring all the hostility and torture.
Isaiah 53:3-5, His longsuffering because of His love.

[Reconciliation to the Father.]
Isaiah 59:2, the blood of Christ washed away the sin that separated man and God
Romans 5:10-11, justification first (death on the cross) and then reconciliation (faith to come and follow)

[Through the Christmas child, peace begot peace.]
