The Forgotten History of Britain

It may seem that the history of Britain is well-known but this is not the case. While we may know more than we want to about the Tudors, go back to pre-Roman times and it appears to be a blank cavass. It is generally assumed that this is because the ancient Britain were illiterate and recorded nothing of their times. However,m the truth is more complex. The ancient history of Britainb was well-known prior to the advent of the Hanoverian dynasty in 1714. Following that time, much was erased as politically incorrect.

In this lecture we examine this process, which was challenged by my former co-authors: Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett. As Alan told me, 'if you hold fast to a certain scenario of history, you will not even see the evidence that disproves this'. We need to correct this myopia so that we can better see the past for how it really was.
