In addition to nine new films in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel's "Miracles of Christmas" portfolio, Hallmark released 31 originals as part of its "Countdown to Christmas" promotion on the Hallmark Channel.
The release of the shows comes at a time when both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are experiencing rapid growth in popularity. The Hallmark Channel surpassed MSNBC and CNN in total-day viewership, going from being the sixth most watched cable network in the first week of October to the third most watched in the week of November 20.
