John Chapter 3 Pt 2

The Way Church 10/22/23
Continuing in John 3, we see how John the Baptist pushes his followers towards Christ. Encouraging them to leave his discipleship and follow Jesus.
John’s disciples were concerned that everyone was going to Jesus but that was John’s plan. It wasn’t about personal status with John, it’s about people’s salvation.
We need to guard our hearts against becoming disciples of a pastor or denomination or a church. We need because of Jesus. Our focus should be on Jesus, not on a ministry, song, building expectation. There is nothing wrong with holding respect for leaders within the church, but they should never be idolized. Your success should not be the motivation for your ministry.
