How can we begin to create new supportive communities? In this conversation with Helen Githiomi and Melanie Winsland, Ana Isabel asks how they came to join the Community Assemblies of the British Isles and begin their own Community Assembly in Crediton, Devon.

Other ideas explore what a community needs to be in order to support its members.

'Forming an assembly has been a huge learning and growing experience that has made us stronger. We are able to express ourselves and talk more deeply about things. We feel we are understood and have built very strong friendships as a result.' Helen Githiomi, Founding Facilitator, Community Assembly of Crediton

This insightful interview speaks about bringing people together to listen to each other, talk about things, share ideas and pool skills and resources to create a vibrant community in support of local people.

We hope this inspires you to find out more about our Community Assembly network made up of communities across the British Isles doing things their own way and connecting with us via three active facilitators who feedback and feedforward news, knowledge and information from the wider network.

Thank you for watching and see you again soon!
