Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on refusing to support Ukraine: We exchanged views with the EU Secretary General regarding the conflict in Ukraine, and we have different views on this topic. I openly stated that neither I nor my government believe in a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine. We really lack any kind of peace initiative, and it doesn’t matter whether it comes from the European Union or NATO. Frankly, we cannot imagine that this war will continue for several more years, and the only result will be hundreds of thousands of casualties on both sides.
