So I honestly wasn't the most familiar with washing cannabis, and a majority of the cultivators from years back didn't do this either. The plant both in and outdoors gets dirt, hair, dog and cat hair, fly poop, insect parts, etc on the buds and that if your not using any chemicals or pesticides.
For example, if you use Neem Oil and it got on the buds, washing is essential as it is poison to inhale combusted product of Neem Oil. Not only this, honestly your best not using Neem, as I am of a notion it is the cause of people's over reactions to cannabis classified as cannabis Hyper emesis.

To wash cannabis you need a few different ingredients that seem very harmless. However, make the wrong mix and you'll be creating a dangerous acid you shouldn't be playing with on cannabis you plan to somehow ingest, especially via combustion of raw flower. Lemon Juice, peroxide, and baking soda with water. Hot or Cold? What ratio of ingredients? What's the successive order of ingredient washing?
