Weed killer company Roundup ordered to pay more than $1.5 billion to three gardeners over claims it gave them rare form of cancer
Valorie Gunther of New York, Jimmy Draeger of Missouri and Daniel Anderson of California were diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma linked to the spray
Their lawsuit alleged that their illness was related to glyphosate, an active chemical in the product acquired by German company Bayer in 2018
The trio represent a fraction of the 165,000 claimants who have sued the company for personal injuries allegedly caused by the herbicide
