A cleanup of the Kalamazoo River is being named a success

The City of Kalamazoo had hired contractors to pull out garbage and junk which had been dumped into the river and bags upon bags of garbage were removed. The city says that even propane tanks and hampers were removed from the river, adding that the cleanup was one of the most significant ones that has been done in years.
