How to Train a Dog to Play the Game of Tug
1 year ago
6
Dale McCluskey demonstrates how to trigger the whipping motion during the tug game. The intent is to get the dog to move beyond merely holding and create a serious problem for the suspect. This motion can not only unbalance and knock the suspect off their feet but dislodge any weapon they may be holding in their hand. Most training involves the suspect initiating the motion to keep the bite game going. Within this training system we advance to the level where the dog is not only biting hard and deep but also initiating this back and forth motion.
