Deep-sea drama: Octopus clash creates tangled 'mess of arms' 🐙🌊

Two battling octopus got themselves into a right tangle recently, in what the diver who witnessed the “mess of arms” said could have been a “fight over territory” or “lovers’ tiff”. Victoria woman Jules Casey, who frequently posts videos of what she sees below the waves to her OneBreathDiver Instagram account, recorded the footage of the fight. Casey said she see could only see one octopus when she arrived, “but it wasn’t long before the second one revealed itself as it fought to escape the pipe it had settled in”. “Check out the holding of one arm at the end as one leaves,” she said, describing octopuses as “way more intelligent and complex than we know.”
