[Transitional Times Poem Collection]

Sometimes, we get lost in ‘the work’ and do not realise the role we play and how much we have given and achieved. This poem is a recognition and acknowledgement of such efforts and an expression of appreciation for all those giving of themselves for the greater good. We love and appreciate you and hope you love and appreciate yourselves too.

It’s writing was inspired by the “WakeUpÉire” teams efforts and their generous inclusion of all people and efforts in their important work. While this is so, it also spans as a thank you to all souls making the effort to ‘alert’ their fellow men to the truth.

This creation falls into my 'Transitional Times' poem category which contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time in Ireland and Worldwide' created to encourage consideration, reflection and faith, in ourselves, others and God.

“Warriors for Truth”

Thank you, for all that you do.
That’s to you, and you and you and you.
I could go on!!!
This world and this country
would be worse off without you.
You are appreciated and strong.

The work is righteous and Godly.
The efforts and time, they are costly.
But God … He is proud.
You use the gifts He endowed.
You stand tall in the crowd
and speak the facts out loud.

So, thank you ….. “Warriors for Truth”
Justice will be seen in our time
and for our beautiful youth.
