Biblical Slavery #2: Slavery in the ANE
Hermeneutics (the study of interpreting the Bible) strongly emphasizes understanding the historical and cultural context (see the book grasping god's Word 4th edition). This means that, to understand the biblical slave laws, we need to understand the context and what is going on around Israel. We need to understand what was going on in the Ancient Near East. This video is dedicated to a good understanding of such a context.
