O Come O Come Emmanuel 🕊
Oh how Israel needs our prayers for Peace!
Peace will come when the Lord returns, when His Chosen people call out to Him. It is prophesied and it will happen.
As you all know I pray for the Lord's direction every time I do a song here. Going through so many Christmas songs this is the one that stood out and I could see the video as I practiced it.
This is His heart this Christmas Season.
We are all guilty of seeing the terrible things that happen around the world and as time goes by we move on. Yes we pray still off and on, right? This is a time right now that we can't do that. We are in a spiritual battle against evil that is not just out to destroy Israel but the world. We are in a fight that we can not walk away from.
For all generations of God's chosen people they have not found rest. The rest that He desires for them to have. This was never His plan for them to suffer from the hands of the enemy, the root of Ishmael whom was a pawn in the hands of satan.
This song that many of us have sung over the years as a Christmas song/carol was written as a prayer of encouragement to Israel. 1200 years ago. It echo's the words to them, encouraging them that Emmanuel, their Messiah, will come to them and rescue them. The song itself is prophetic. It speaks of a day that is coming when He will return and rescue them in a final move against the attacks of satan. And I don't believe that is far off.
We on the other hand have been given the command to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. When that peace comes, we will all see the fulfilment of His true Peace on Earth.
Please remember to keep Israel in your prayers as they continue to suffer the horrific loss of their loved ones. As a nation they are mourning the loss of so many. I can't begin to imagine the horrors that have and still are facing.
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
