Boulevard Anspach (Dutch: Anspachlaan) is a central boulevard in Brussels between Place de Brouckère and Place Fontainas. It bears the name of a former mayor of the city of Brussels, Jules Anspach (1829-1879). The Palais de la Bourse in Brussels is located on the said boulevard. Boulevard Anspach is the capital's best-known thoroughfare in Brussels. The base of the boulevard rests on the vaulting of the Senne built between 1868 and 1871, traced on the old bed of this river. Before 1879, the boulevard was named "Central Boulevard".
