North Macedonia's capital struggles with air pollution

Skopje is one of the most polluted cities in the world. One of the contributing factors to dirty air in North Macedonia and the Balkans is the energy system, with coal still providing 40% of the country's energy according to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
