Representative Rich McCormick (R-GA) says he was glad to see this year’s National Defense Authorization Act include his amendment that prohibits the Defense Department from using NewsGuard, a left-leaning agency that rates news websites and helps the military determine where to place recruitment advertisements. “Getting rid of NewsGuard and making sure they can’t be used to bias our advertising dollars is the right thing to do. It takes away from their liberal agenda and it helps us with recruiting,” says Rep. McCormick.
