The individual who has been dislocated from the heavenly vision is reduced to console themselves with the pain or the exploitation of others. But there is an alternative. If we can live day to day life with a Heavenly vision we will be better prepared to meet the challenges of the future. We cannot overlook the fact that Jesus really did die and resurrect in real human history, in real space and time. This means the kingdom of Heaven is a very real place. It's not just the idea of resurrection, It is actual resurrection that gives us a future hope gives us a hope of a future that allows us to live in this world today and not be crushed by the weight of our own mortality, or trauma.
