Scripture: (Psalm 89:3-4) 3. “I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: 4. Your seed I will establish forever, and build up your throne to all generations.”
Christmas has the spirit of unification, diversity in celebration and revelation of the birth of Christ and His mission here on earth. He is our Salvation, our Deliverer and our Prince of Peace. God recognized we were in serious trouble again and He knew we needed His help, so He sent the best of heaven, The Word, the Son of God. John chapter one, verses 1-5: stated: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. 2. He was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. 4. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men (all humanity). 5. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” In this same chapter, scroll down to verse 14. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” This is the true story of Christmas and the reason God sent The Word, Who became flesh as the Living Christ Jesus. In heaven He is known as the Son of God, The Word. On earth He is both Son of God in the Spirit and Son of Man in the flesh. His Name on earth is Jesus of Nazareth. Christ is His title- The Anointed One and His anointing.
Jesus said something very radical to His followers in Matthew 10:34: “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword (of division between belief and unbelief). There are two camps here on earth or two tribes and they are polar opposites: one camp believes in God and His Son and follow and obey His Word. The other camp follows the enemy and his demonic forces and they have been deceived and follow the deception instead of searching for the truth. They will be judged. Even though Christ was heralded into our world as our Redeemer, and brought peace with Him, He was also specific in His words about whom we serve will determine our final destination, and it will also determine our quality of life here on planet earth. This Christmas let us find the time to spend with Christ and let us do an inventory of our love for Him. Is He reigning supreme in our lives? Are we putting family and family issues above Him, above our time with Him? Our love for Christ must trump love for anyone else. Yes, even before those who we whole dear. This does mean we are to neglect our loved ones; that is not what Christ is saying. He is saying without Him we can do nothing. In John 15:5 Jesus stated: “I am the Vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” Without Him being first place in our lives we put our families and loved ones at risk. Because the enemy sees everything we do and we put our loved ones in jeopardy when we place them above the Triune God. Let us remember this Christmas to put Him first place in our hearts and honor Him and He will bless and honor us and our loved ones. Have a blessed Christmas everyone and may all your dreams and prayers come through. Let us share our faith in God, it pleases Him. Psalm 103:11-12 stated: 11. “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear (our reverence and devotion) Him. 12. “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” This is the purpose of Christ coming to earth. Rejoice in His birth! Thank you for giving me a thumbs up and subscribing. Thank you also for tuning in, it gives me delight to share God’s Word with all of us.
