You can mix one pound of buckwheat to any of the mixes if you have enough soil moisture for it to sprout and grow immediately and 20-45 days until first frost. In 60-70 days the buckwheat will go to seed and deer and turkey love it. Most likely, deer will eat the buckwheat as it grows.
