New Speaker Anna Paulina Luna breaks gavel - December 2023

After the former Speaker of the House #KevinMcCarthy was ousted for breaking his word to MAGA members of the House (to only allow single-issue spending bills) to please the RINO wing of the Republican Party (who prefer the grift and greed of the government gravy train instead of the Trump train), his replacement Rep. #MikeJohnson also broke HIS word (almost immediately after taking the job) for also not passing single-issue spending bills by allowing FISA (a bill used to spy on Trump and his supporters) to be passed in the Defense Budget . . . and sneaking it in without a full debate on the House floor. Rep. AnnaPaulinaLuna, the acting Speaker (with no known pro-temp selected by Speaker Johnson) was so angry that FISA passed, that when she adjourned the House last week, she broke the gavel and lost her Midori sour in the process. Of course, none of this is real and is only satire. It's a good thing too, because that Midori sour sure looked good! The moral of this fake story: Never renew FISA and never let a Midori sour go to waste.
