Ann Arbor is banning the use of gas-powered leaf blowers due to pollution and noise.

Residents will be able to use the lawn tool until January 2028. Violators will be charged 100 to 250-dollars depending on the number of violations. The funds from the tickets written will fund leaf blowers that do not use gas for low-income residents and small businesses.
