Many offshore/nomad and expat influencers will tell you that buying real estate overseas in cities like Medellin or Bangkok is a GREAT investment but they are lying to you.
A GREAT investment is an investment that performs better with minimal risk compared to similar alternative opportunities. These people are just trying to sell you an apartment packaged in a dream of home ownership near the beach.
Look buy a place in BKK if you want but don't fool yourself into thinking that you're investing.
