Are You Ready To Save The Planet? Try This Bright Idea
Uncle Blerf lampoons a real video on the World Economic Forum website that encourages people to eat insects rather than meat, sarcastically making the point that WEF's numbers simply don't add up.
The World Economic Forum and the United Nations have for many years advanced the idea of replacing meat production, particularly beef, with insects such as mealworms, grubs, and of course, crickets. These recommendations are coming in tandem with agricultural regulations particularly in Europe, that are cutting food production by reducing fertilizer use, forcing farmers off their land, taxes on fossil fuels used to run farms and other measures, including cow burp taxes(!) (usually made under the assumption these will fight climate change.) When the inevitable food shortages occur, the authorities will save the world with insect protein....or at least that's what they want you to believe right now.
