Volcanic eruption has started north of Grindavík, north of Sundhnúkur, Iceland on 18th December 2023

After intense seismic activity of 320 earthquakes, a volcanic fissure eruption commenced with large lava fountains at Sundhnúkagígaröðin East of Mt. Sýlingarfell.
