Russian anti-aircraft forces shot down a Russian Su-25 fighter jet on 17 December. Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, said this on Telegram.
"I can say with certainty that it was not the Ukrainian air defence that downed the Russian Su-25 fighter jet! These were the clear and well-coordinated actions of the Russian anti-aircraft forces, and I’d like to say a big thank you to them on behalf of the entire Ukrainian people!..
Now the occupiers have one less Su-25. To be continued…"
Besides, the Russian T-80 tank was destroyed by a mine near the village of Karabanovo, Valuysky district, Belgorod oblast, sources told Astra.
As reported, the incident occurred on December 16. Thus, the tank was completely destroyed as a result of hitting the anti-tank mine. One of the crew members was killed, and another was injured.The area of the incident is located approximately 20 km from the border with Ukraine. Russian officials did not comment on the incident.
