Murder-Suicide Investigation Inside Home

Two people were found dead inside of a Cape Coral home in what appears to be a murder suicide, the Cape Coral Police Department said. Police responded to a call for service at 5232 SW 9th Place at 9:03 AM Saturday morning. 50-year-old Madonna Pierce-McGuire and 47-year-old Jason W. McGuire were found dead inside the home, Cape PD said. Police say it appears Mr. McGuire shot Mrs. McGuire before taking his own life. Last month, Mr. McGuire was arrested by Cape PD for DV Aggravated assault towards Mrs. McGuire. A no-contact order/restraining order was not set in place following the arrest.
