342 - UFC 296 Recap

UFC 296 was an event with very unusual energy. There was so much drama leading up to this card and while many of the fights delivered spectacular performances, the main event fell flat for many people.

The internet was buzzing with the inappropriate comments by Colby Covington at the press conference, making reference to Leon Edwards' deceased father. There was also a lot of talk surrounding Ian Garry, who wouldn't make it to fight night due to pneumonia.

Tony Ferguson put up a good fight against the younger contender, Paddy Pimblett. Alexandre Pantoja defended his flyweight title in a rematch with Brandon Royval. The undercard delivered many exciting fights and finishes. Overall, it was a great night for the UFC, now we have to wait until 2024 to get our UFC fix.
