David Parker Ray, known as the Toy-Box Killer, was an American criminal who engaged in kidnapping, torture, and serial rape. Despite being accused by accomplices of murdering multiple women, no bodies were recovered. In 2001, Ray was convicted of kidnapping and torture, receiving a substantial sentence. However, he was never convicted of murder. Approximately a year after these convictions, he succumbed to a heart attack, following a plea deal in the second case.

Ray employed soundproofing techniques in a semi-trailer referred to as his "Toy Box." This mobile chamber was equipped with tools for sexual torture. His modus operandi involved abducting five to six women annually, holding each captive for about three to four months. During this harrowing period, he subjected his victims to sexual abuse and often employed surgical instruments for torture, at times involving his associates, wife, or even his dog. Subsequently, Ray would administer barbiturates to drug his victims in an attempt to erase their memories before abandoning them by the roadside.
