The Receiver of Wreck by Ben Cottam

The place: Fleetwood, Lancashire, in the depths of a dead winter, the bleakest in years. The small town - part failed seaside resort, part former fishing port - has awoken to find a rusted old ship washed up on its silting estuary. There is no one on board, no craft have been reported missing anywhere in the Irish Sea and the ship is so weather-beaten that positive identification proves impossible.

Jen Green, The Receiver of Wreck, arrives to find rumors sweeping the town as to just what the boat might be. From pirate radio station to pirate ship, Russian spy vessel to a gunrunning shipment to the IRA - no theory is too maverick as to what the strange ship might have been…
