Madison County jail officer killed in shooting, person of interest in custody

The shooting happened at around 11:30 p.m., at a house in the 3600 block of IN-38 near Markleville, Indiana. Two men were sitting at a bonfire at the house when some kind of fight happened, ending in gunfire, according to a release from Indiana State Police. When ISP deputies arrived, they found Uriah Wilson, 29, of Markleville. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe he had been visiting the house where the incident happened.
