Act 1 of Gears of War 4 is called The Prologue and consists of a prologue and four chapters. The prologue is a brief introduction to the game’s story, while the four chapters are titled The Raid, In and Out, New Friends, and A Few Snags.

The Raid: The first chapter of Act 1 sees JD, Del, and Kait raiding a COG settlement to steal a fabricator. Along the way, they encounter a new enemy, the DeeBees, and a familiar face from the original trilogy.

In and Out: In this chapter, JD, Del, and Kait must infiltrate a COG fortification to rescue a kidnapped friend. Along the way, they discover a new type of DeeBee and learn more about the game’s story.

New Friends: In the third chapter, JD, Del, and Kait meet up with some new allies and work together to take down a COG convoy. This chapter features a new vehicle, the Buzzkill, and introduces a new enemy, the Pouncer.

A Few Snags: The final chapter of Act 1 sees JD, Del, and Kait trying to escape from a COG facility with the fabricator. Along the way, they encounter a new type of DeeBee and face off against a boss enemy.
