Hammerhead Sharks are a species of shark that are known for their unusual head shape. Each eye extends out from the body, making the head shape of this shark appear to look like a hammer!

Hammerhead sharks are found across the world, swimming in groups during the day and hunting alone at night. They are usually grey-green or brown, with a white belly. They are known to grow between 1 and 6 metres long and can weigh up to 580 kilograms!

The Hammerhead Shark is perhaps one of the most well-known and immediately recognisable species of shark, perhaps even more recognisable than the famous Great White Shark.
