IMHO the screenplays for the Matrix, after the first, were lost opportunities. This is because engrossing someone in a false reality to manipulate and feed off them has a familiarity that I think people really noticed and appreciated. But the plot points of the later installments fail to live up to that vivid comparison. Our reality is indeed illusory as shown by the mathematical proofs enumerated in this pair of documentaries - hiding a detailed societal engineering program creating our political history and present geography, right down to the placement and purpose of the Axis of Evil Knights Templar circumnavigation line and it's incorporation into the border between Jordan and the State of Israel.
