Water Main Break at Charles and Preston

The department of public works is working to fix a 10 inch main on Charles Street. The water main ruptured during rush hour and caused major traffic delays in the Mt. Vernon area. Crews are currently working to shut off the water. The department of public works advises drivers to avoid Charles and Preston streets and find alternate routes to leave downtown.
