The story of Hanukkah didn’t end thousands of years ago but is a message for today. Just as a small group fought for the restoration of religious freedom, another group is going out to fight against the oppression of false teachings that have brought darkness to the land and bring God’s light back into the world as the Prophet Isaiah declared, “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)
