Finally Got Sober: Here's How I Won

This is the story about my experience in rehab where I was finally able to get sober. The program was a therapeutic community where I spent 6 months inpatient living and working on myself, learning who I was, learning to deal with life, learning what I liked. It was an amazing experience to be able to spend such a long period of time without any stressors or stimulus from the outside world, where I could be completely focused on being present and healing the wounds that caused me to be a drug addict for so long. Rehab is a great tool and it doesn't always work on the first try, often addicts have to go to rehab more than once. Relapse is an unfortunate part of addiction and definitely part of my story, what's important is that we never give up, that we keep on trying to get sober no matter how many times we fall down flat on our faces.
If you have a problem with drugs or alcohol rehab is a great option for getting sober. The recovery community is an excellent place to get support for addiction and rehabilitation. I've now been sober for a decade but the first 30 days of sobriety are really tough, so are the first 90 days of sobriety, heck the first year of sobriety is rough! With a good accredited program that works with the alcoholics anonymous 12 steps, recovery is possible. Struggling with oxy, fentanyl, heroin, any opiate is brutal, the withdrawal is horrible,
