Seeking Kingdom Treasure; Luke 12:32-34

Delivered during the Sunday Morning Worship Service, 12/10/2023. Jesus continues to teach His disciples that their citizenship is in the Kingdom of God, even though they must sojourn for a while in this darkened world. Therefore it is essential that Christians maintain a Kingdom perspective on how the live and prioritize their lives. Towards that end, the treasure they seek must be heavenly treasure rather than the temporal treasure of this world. We will analyze the sometimes confusing concept of living in one world and seeking treasure in another. Having already defined the nature of the Kingdom of God and what it means to "seek" it, we will turn our attention now to exactly what Kingdom "treasure" consists of and how it is attained. Ultimately we will realize how different heavenly treasure is from our concept of treasure on this earth and thereby strive as He has commanded us, to intently (and indeed relentlessly) seek Kingdom treasure for the rest of our lives.
