A Kansas City nonprofit is doing more than talking about reducing crime – New Reflections Technical Institute said it’s reducing crime by putting people to work. The vocational school helps ex-inmates obtain training and jobs upon their release. The institute will host its second annual Unity Ball this Saturday at the Courtyard Kansas City at Briarcliff to raise funds for tuition.
