Michael Fish's NBC26 weather forecast

A potent storm system is passing to our north bringing us some very gusty winds. We are under a WIND ADVISORY until 6PM this evening for the entire viewing area. Wind gusts will be between 40-50 mph at times through this time period. Tonight, even though the Wind Advisory will will end, the winds will still be strong going through the night with some gusts up to 35 MPH out of the west. Overnight lows will be colder with readings in the upper-teens. Look for mostly cloudy and blustery conditions on Wednesday with a few flurries possible as well. Highs will not go above freezing with afternoon readings in the upper-20s. Thursday will also be cool with a little less wind out there. Highs will once again only be in the mid-20s. Some snow showers are possible on Friday with a clipper system that will keep the cool air in place through the weekend.  Buckle up, folks. Winter-like temps are here to stay for the time being!
