The Senko Worm Fly

Rich McElliogott developed a Senko worm fly using Patons Bohemian chenille. It is the best weedless wet fly I've ever fished. I have; however, question if the hook sets are reliable given how the material covers the hook point and has to slide down the hook bend to be effective. Unfortunately, every time I fish it the bass don't take an interest in the fly. I've only caught two bass, one featured here on the video.
