The Great Salt Lake in Utah is drying up. The lake bed which contains arsenic is being exposed. The wind picks up the toxic dust and spreads it to the surrounding populated area. One proposed solution to restoring the lake is piping water in from the ocean, costing $300 million a year just for the electricity to pump the water to the lake.
