After months of anticipation, Grand Rapids-based brewery Founders Brewing Company opened its Detroit taproom on Monday. Located on Charlotte St. just a couple of blocks away from Little Caesars Arena, the original announcement came in April. The taproom is 14,000 square feet and since they're opening in December, Founders will also hold a special bottle release of Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS). At 11.7 percent ABV, CBS is an imperial stout brewed with chocolate and coffee, aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels. A select number of CBS tickets will be available online by clicking here at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. They are $50 for two bottles, and are name and date specific, which means you have to bring your ID and pick up your bottles on the specific date.
