White House Staffers Demand Ceasefire in Israel–Hamas Conflict

In a statement delivered by former State Department official Josh Paul, the group expressed horror at both Hamas' actions in southern Israel and what they deemed a disproportionate response by the Israeli government. They accused the Israeli military of indiscriminately killing thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians. The group's call for a ceasefire comes after the United Nations General Assembly voted for a resolution urging a ceasefire in response to the crisis, threatening international peace and security. The situation remains complex, with Israel insisting on the release of hostages as a condition for a lasting ceasefire.
