A rally for Detroit Congressman John Conyers drew about 200 people on Monday afternoon. The message was strong to those who have called on Conyers to resign, “We are here for due process,” said Reverend Wendell Anthony of the Detroit Chapter of the NAACP. “In Detroit, we fight back. In Detroit, we fight back,” declared Sam Riddle activist and member of the Detroit Chapter of the National Action Network. Conyers has been accused of sexual harassment by three women who worked for him. That includes Marion Brown, who was paid a settlement of $27,000 in her case. Through her attorney Lisa Bloom, she wants to testify to the Ethics Committee in Washington.
