Join us on this compelling exploration of faith, prophecy, and the mysteries of the divine.
In Matthew 27, the narrative revolves around the events leading to Jesus's crucifixion. Judas, filled with remorse, returns the thirty pieces of silver but tragically takes his own life. Jesus is brought before Pilate, who, despite finding no fault in Jesus, succumbs to the pressure from the crowd and agrees to crucify Him. The soldiers mock Jesus, dress Him in scarlet and lead Him to Golgotha, where He's crucified alongside two criminals. Darkness falls upon the land, and Jesus, before His last breath, cries out and breathes His last.
Mark 15 echoes the poignant account of Jesus's crucifixion. Pilate, after questioning Jesus, succumbs to the crowd's demand for crucifixion. Jesus is mocked by the soldiers, dressed in purple and crowned with thorns. On the way to Golgotha, Simon of Cyrene is compelled to carry Jesus's cross. At the place of the Skull, Jesus is crucified, and amid the darkness, He breathes His last. Joseph of Arimathea takes Jesus's body, wraps it in linen, and lays it in a tomb, marking the end of this chapter.
