On Friday, December 8, a group of diving performers known for jumping off Acapulco’s La Quebrada cliff performed for the first time since Hurricane Otis devastated the Mexican coastal town in late October.

Before Otis, the “Clavadistas” performed multiple times a day, jumping from heights of up to 115 feet, according to their website.

The divers stopped performing after the hurricane as debris in the local waters made the show dangerous for the performers, local news reported.

This footage by Mexico’s culture ministry shows the impressive dives, including one were the performer is lit on fire before jumping.

Tourist attractions were encouraging visitors to return to Acapulco, but many local residents were still struggling to regain water, electric, and trash collection services in mid-December, according to local reports.
