◾During a conference addressing Israel's invasion of Gaza attended by members of the Knesset, Rabbi Uzi Sharbaf advocated for the "liberation" of the Sinai region up to the Nile River (half of Egypt to be precise):

- We are in need of prayer and exerting all our efforts, to liberate the entire Sinai region up to the Nile River. This region is an integral part of the land of Israel."
