Hunting Colorado-2023 with Pack Goats

On this hunt we traveled to Colorado where big sister had a buck tag and little brother had both buck and bull tags, all for the same unit and same season. Little bro was seeking his 1st ever elk and hoping good bucks would show up for the rut. Big sis has very little time and showed up a couple days after the hunt started and wanted to shoot the first buck she could get and go home for a work thing, which is exactly what she did. Little bro, on the other hand, shot his bull opening morning and then passed on several bucks in hopes a good one would show. The rut had been very subdued, so on the last day he shot a buck he had passed up 4 days prior. He actually had to chase it down the hill about a half mile, and found it at 8 yards away as he peaked over some boulders. The pack goats were great and packed out both of both animals. Both kids shot their game with 7mm Rem Mag, and 168g Nosler Accubonds.
