LYRICS INSPIRED BY PSALM 137: "By Babylon's rivers, we sat and wept,
Remembering Zion, the memories we kept.
Our harps hung silent, on willows so tall,
In a foreign land, where shadows did fall.
They asked for a song, a joyous refrain,
But how can we sing, amidst such pain?
If I forget you, Jerusalem so dear,
May my hand falter, my voice disappear.
Remember, O Lord, the day of despair,
When our temple fell, the smoke in the air.
Babylon's cruelty, in ruins we lay,
Seeking Your mercy, night turned to day.
Though captive and far, our faith remains strong,
For in Your love, we truly belong.
By Babylon's rivers, we pray and we yearn,
For the day of return, when to Zion we turn.
